Official Mini Motorways mobile port
Mini Motorways is a free-to-download arcade title and the official mobile port of the popular simulation game of the same name for PC developed by Dinosaur Polo Club. In it, players are in charge of directing the city's road system to ensure that car traffic flows smoothly and continuously.
Compared to its PC counterpart, Mini Motorways, this version has been optimized for touch input and smaller-screened devices in mind. It boasts a simple and intuitive control scheme to let players draw out and design road layouts easily. There's also support for third-party controllers for even more precise gameplay.
Road planner
Mini Motorways is one of those games that's both engaging and relaxing at once. On the one hand, you will need to think carefully about how best to lay out roads to ensure that the flow of cars is steady and no jams arise. Then, there is something pleasing about watching your plans pan out. With this mobile port, you get the same experience while on the go.
This mobile version of the game will play out as it does on PC, with multiple maps inspired by real cities to lay roads down on. Relax and play at your own pace in Endless Mode, wherein you can lay down tracks as you want and customize them with different colors and upgrades like highways, roundabouts, and others as the city's traffic requires.
For more challenges, take on Expert Mode, and here you won't be able to remove or edit roads, as well as be given a limited number of upgrades to work with to test your skills. One thing of note, though, is that it can be a bit hard to navigate maps given the smaller screen size on smartphones. Also, you'll need an Apple Arcade subscription to play it.
A birthday celebration
In honor of the Mini franchise’s 10th anniversary, Mini Motorways brings players with three popular maps from Mini Metro — namely the London, Mumbai, and New York City maps. The game will also introduce an all-new building type, which would be the train stations. When plotting out other roads and pathways, you’ll have to keep these new buildings and your newly constructed railway tracks and pre-existing railways in mind.
Introducing… creative mode
The game announced the long-awaited Creative Mode on August 26th PT, as announced at Future Games Show Live. This new mode grants players endless freedom, allowing them to change building colors, pivot or delete destinations, and access nearly unlimited upgrades. Developers are eager to see the innovative designs players will create, as this highly requested feature aims to encourage player creativity across all platforms.
Keep the cars flowing
If you played the original PC version, this mobile version of Mini Motorways brings pretty much the same experience on a portable scale and on-the-go nature. It's just as fun and relaxing to play as its counterpart, and that will please both newcomers and fans alike. If you have Apple Arcade, this one is highly recommended and is a must-play.
